Operations Supervisor
Position Overview
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day waste collection operations, ensuring smooth workflow and team productivity. As a critical leader within the company, the Operations Supervisor organizes routes, coordinates schedules, and enforces safety and quality standards across all operational activities. This role requires a blend of leadership skills, logistical planning, and industry knowledge to effectively support both team members and company goals. Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Development
Lead, mentor, and motivate team members, conducting regular safety briefings, training sessions, and performance reviews to foster a productive and positive work environment. Work closely with team members to support individual development goals and encourage a culture of safety and accountability. - Route Planning and Optimization
Develop and assign daily waste collection routes to maximize efficiency and resource allocation. Adjust schedules as needed based on operational demands, weather conditions, and unforeseen issues. This requires a strong understanding of logistical planning and a proactive approach to problem-solving. - Safety and Compliance Monitoring
Enforce all safety regulations, conducting regular field inspections and audits to ensure team members adhere to company policies and safety protocols. Report and address any incidents or violations, working to minimize risks and maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
Qualifications
- Experience and Skills
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or operations management role, preferably within waste management, logistics, or a related field. Candidates should have experience in route planning, scheduling, and safety protocol enforcement. - Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
Strong leadership qualities are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will be a confident decision-maker with excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with team members and management. - Organizational and Analytical Skills
